currently serves as the Assistant Minister of Corporate Services at Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. In this capacity, he oversees an integrated portfolio encompassing finance and budgeting, human resources, procurement, and governance. Furthermore, his responsibilities extend to compliance, risk management, privatization, and non-oil revenue development, in addition to managing facilities, public services, and archives & records management.
With a career spanning over 20 years across both the public and private sectors, Alaa has held various leadership roles in financial planning, procurement, and spending efficiency. Additionally, his expertise covers HR, governance, and internal audit. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University.
