These FAQs aim to help licensed Real Estate Brokerage and Marketing entities understand the classification framework, including its objectives, methodology, application mechanism, classification tiers, and the implications of the classification results.

The classification aims to distinguish licensed Real Estate Brokerage and Marketing entities based on key performance and operational indicators, thereby enhancing transparency, competitiveness, and improving practices in the real estate market. It also provides reliable information on the performance level of licensees and supports decision-making for various stakeholders.

The classification process covers Real Estate Brokerage and Marketing establishments licensed by the Real Estate General Authority (REGA).

The classification includes five tiers: 1- Tier 1 – Diamond 2- Tier 2 – Gold 3- Tier 3 – Silver 4- Tier 4 – Bronze 5- Inactive – Establishments that do not have completed brokerage contracts during the evaluation period, based on completed real estate transactions recorded with the Ministry of Justice, the Real Estate Registry, Ejar Platform, or licensees suspended by a decision of the Real Estate General Authority.

The classification of Real Estate Brokerage and Marketing licensees is based on measurable criteria that reflect the licensee’s performance, regulatory compliance, and operational capability. The approved criteria are: 1- Number of Full-Time Employees (FTEs) 2- Number of Branches 3- Years of Experience 4- Number of Completed Brokerage Contracts 5- Value of Completed Brokerage Contracts 6- Number of Violations 7- Number of Completed Training Courses 8- Percentage of Saudi Employees

The classification score is calculated by assessing the licensee’s data against the approved criteria for Real Estate Brokerage and Marketing activities. Each criterion is assigned a relative weight reflecting its importance within the evaluation model. Based on the licensee’s performance against the established benchmark thresholds, points are awarded for each criterion. The points are then aggregated according to the approved weights to determine the overall score. The final classification tier is determined based on the total score achieved.

The licensee will be notified of the final classification tier (e.g., Diamond, Gold, etc.) through the Classification Platform. The licensee may also view the results of individual criteria through the Classification Platform without disclosing the detailed weights or benchmark thresholds.

Yes. Licensees are re-evaluated in subsequent classification cycles based on the available data during the evaluation period, provided that the licensee has actual activity represented by completing at least one real estate transaction associated with a brokerage contract.

This stage enables licensees to review their preliminary classification results, verify the accuracy of the associated data, and submit inquiries or observations when necessary. It enhances transparency, improves data quality, and ensures the readiness of the classification framework before full launch and final approval of the results.

If there is any concern regarding the classification result or the underlying data, the licensee may submit an inquiry or a classification amendment request through the Classification Platform. Once the data is updated, the licensee will receive a notification confirming receipt of the updates and linking them to the request. The licensee will later be notified of the final decision and may view the updated result once approved.

Classification results are issued according to the approved cycle for Real Estate Brokerage and Marketing activities. Licensees will be notified once the review and processing stages are completed. Licensees will also be informed in advance of publication dates through REGA's official channels.

The data must first be corrected with the relevant entity, after which a classification amendment request may be submitted.

A licensee may submit a classification amendment request during the validity period of the license up to (30) days before its expiry. If less than this period remains, the license must first be renewed before submitting the request.

Where multiple Commercial Registration numbers belong to the same licensee, the relationship between those records will be verified in accordance with the approved mechanism. The classification result will then be calculated based on the data associated with the relevant records, and the approved classification result will apply to all records belonging to that entity.

Yes. A new classification amendment request may be submitted after the previous request has been closed, regardless of its outcome, provided that no more than one request is open at the same time.
