The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has launched the Real Estate Advertisement License Inquiry Service, enabling stakeholders in the real estate market to verify the validity of real estate advertisements. This initiative aims to reduce the circulation of fraudulent ads, enhance the credibility of advertisement licenses, increase transparency, and improve the overall customer experience.

REGA explained that the service is available to real estate brokers, property owners, and seekers. It can be accessed by visiting REGA’s electronic services platform, navigating to the “Inquiries” section at the top of the page, and selecting the “Real Estate Advertisement License” inquiry option. Users can verify the advertisement’s validity using the license number, brokerage contract number, or property ownership document. The service also provides details on the license’s status—whether active, expired, or canceled.

REGA stressed the importance of having a valid brokerage contract between the broker and the property owner that explicitly includes marketing rights as a condition for issuing a real estate advertisement license. REGA also urged all brokers and real estate service providers to comply with the applicable real estate laws and review any violations to avoid penalties. These may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines. REGA encouraged citizens and residents to report any suspected violations, real estate fraud, or to seek additional information through its official reporting channel or by calling the customer service number (199011).

It is worth noting that the FAL real estate license is the official authorization document permitting individuals and establishments to engage in brokerage activities and provide real estate services in accordance with the Real Estate Brokerage Law. This law seeks to regulate brokerage activities, offer innovative and high-quality real estate services, and improve the efficiency of transactions. It also supports real estate asset sustainability, helps reduce disputes, and safeguards the rights of all stakeholders in the Saudi real estate market.
