REGA Conducts 7 Joint Inspection Tours During March to Ensure Real Estate Market Compliance

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, conducted seven joint inspection tours in March, covering 86 real estate establishments across Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Makkah regions. These tours aim to ensure compliance with real estate legislation in general, and the Real Estate Brokerage Law in particular, in addition to matters under the jurisdiction of participating government entities related to Saudization.
REGA explained that field inspections are one of the key approaches it employs to regulate the real estate market. During the same period, REGA’s inspection teams conducted 19,636 field inspection operations. Additionally, REGA received 589 real estate reports through its various channels, all of which were handled and addressed. The number of electronic scanning operations exceeded 3,204, reflecting REGA’s commitment to adopting electronic monitoring systems targeting digital channels and real estate platforms to verify the compliance of advertisements and digital real estate brokerage practices with applicable laws and regulations.
REGA called on all real estate brokers and service providers to comply with the provisions of the real estate laws and to review the list of violations to avoid penalties, which may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines. The law’s implementing regulations set out the classification of violations and their corresponding penalties. REGA also urged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or cases of real estate fraud through the report response channel on REGA’s official platform or by calling the unified number (199011) for real estate inquiries.
