The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the upcoming deadline for the first real estate title registration for 316 neighborhoods across Qassim Region. This includes 130 neighborhoods in Buraidah City, 55 neighborhoods in Unaizah City, 23 neighborhoods in Al-Bukayriyah City, 28 neighborhoods in Al-Badai City, 48 neighborhoods in Al-Rass City, 16 neighborhoods in Al-Khabra and Al-Sahabin, and 16 neighborhoods in Riyadh Al-Khabra City. The deadline is set for the end of the day on Thursday, 6 February 2025, corresponding to 7 Sha'ban 1446 Hijri.

REGA has urged property owners in these neighborhoods to complete their registrations through the Real Estate Registry Platform rer.sa before the deadline to benefit from real estate transaction services and ensure that all changes to the property are properly documented.
REGA clarified that the title registration process allows for the issuance of a "property number" and a title registration deed for each registered real estate unit. The title deed includes the property’s precise geographical location, ownership details, descriptions, current condition, and any associated rights and obligations. It also records all transactions related to the property, providing a documented basis for ownership and any real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and development of the real estate sector and its key enablers.
REGA also confirmed that failure to register properties within the specified timeframe in the announcement exposes owners to financial penalties as outlined in the Law of Real Estate Registration, which are determined by a specialized committee. However, applications for real estate title registration will continue to be accepted in all announced regions even after the deadline stated in the announcement.
It is worth noting that the National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry - RER) is responsible for implementing and managing the Real Estate Registry in the Kingdom, utilizing modern technologies and geospatial data through an integrated digital platform that enhances transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
