The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the approaching deadline for the first-time real estate title registration for (40) neighborhoods in the Eastern Region. This includes (26) neighborhoods in Dammam City and (14) neighborhoods in Al-Khobar Governorate. The registration period will end on Thursday, 6 February 2025, corresponding to 7 Sha'ban 1446 Hijri.

REGA clarified that real estate title registration will conclude in the following neighborhoods of Dammam City: (remainder of Al-Shu'la District, First Industrial, Al-Wahat, Taiba, Al-Nuzha, Al-Firdaws, Al-Rawda, Al-Faisaliya, Tihama, Al-Muntazah, Al-Jamiyeen, Al-Iskan, Al-Rayyan, Al-Nahda, Abdullah Fouad, Workers City, Al-Manar, Ibn Khaldoun, Al-Amal, Al-Itisalat, Al-Basateen, Hajar, Al-Anwar, Al-Nada, Al-Murikabat, Qasr Al-Khaleej). In Al-Khobar Governorate, registration will end in the following neighborhoods:  (Half Moon Beach, Al-Kawthar, Al-Aqeeq, Al-Sufun, Al-Marjan, Al-Raja, Al-Shifa, Al-Sawari, Al-Lu'lu, Al-Maha, Al-Amwaj, Al-Shira, Al-Durra, Al-Baheera).

REGA urged property owners in the listed neighborhoods to register their properties promptly via the Real Estate Registry Platform ( rer.sa) before the deadline. Registration enables access to real estate transaction execution services and documentation of any changes to the property.

REGA explained that each registered real estate unit will receive a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed. This deed includes the property’s exact geographical location, owner information, property description and condition, associated rights and obligations, and a record of all real estate transactions. It serves as the official basis for proving ownership and documenting related real estate rights, thereby supporting the sustainability and advancement of the real estate sector and its key enablers.

REGA confirmed that failure to register properties within the specified timeframe may subject owners to financial penalties as outlined in the Law of Real Estate Registration. Penalties will be determined by a specialized committee for reviewing violations. However, title registration applications will continue to be accepted in all previously announced regions even after the deadline specified in the announcement decision.

It is worth noting that the National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry RER) is responsible for establishing and managing the Real Estate Registry in the Kingdom. This is achieved through an integrated digital platform that utilizes advanced technologies and geospatial data to enhance transparency and trust in real estate services and information.
