The Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, held a series of meetings today in Munich with prominent figures in the German real estate regulatory sector, including Dr. Thomas Ermer, President of the Bavarian Ministry of Justice, and Harald Welsch from the Criminal Court.
During the meetings, discussions focused on land registration strategies, the client journey, and electronic registration methods,
along with their influence on global real estate performance indicators such as the International Property Rights Index (IPRI) and the Global Real Estate Transparency Index (GRETI). The sessions also explored REGA’s experience with the Real Estate Registry, particularly its integration of modern technologies. Both parties examined opportunities for cooperation in advancing systems and methods related to real estate documentation, geospatial data, and digital indicators.
Al-Hammad also met with the President of the Munich Chamber of Commerce (IHK), Mr. Fritsch, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting addressed real estate systems in Munich, licensing procedures, and regulatory compliance, along with their impact on international property indicators.
The Chamber representatives expressed admiration for Saudi Arabia’s achievements in real estate legislation, its brokerage system, and off-plan sale regulations, noting their role in enhancing the Kingdom’s real estate market appeal.
It is worth noting that REGA is participating in the “EXPO REAL” exhibition in Munich, alongside the National Housing Company, Real Estate Registry Company, and the “WAFI” program. Exhibition visitors are engaging with REGA’s pavilion and its partners to learn about the Kingdom’s leading real estate legislation and regulatory initiatives, including developments in rental, off-plan sales, title registration, and investment frameworks.
