REGA:Real Estate Brokerage Forum Brings Together Experts and Practitioners

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) is set to organize the “Real Estate Brokerage Forum” and its accompanying exhibition on Wednesday, 17 July 2024, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event marks the first anniversary of the Real Estate Brokerage Law’s implementation and will feature participation from a distinguished group of experts in the real estate sector and specialists in real estate technologies to discuss future opportunities and developments in the real estate market.

REGA’s official spokesperson, Mr. Taiseer bin Mohammed Al-Mufarrej, stated that the Real Estate Brokerage Law has contributed to the sustainability of real estate assets, the protection of stakeholders’ rights, and the enhancement of transparency within the real estate market. He emphasized that this inaugural edition of the Forum is part of REGA’s ongoing efforts to advance brokerage services and transactions and to build a strong, forward-looking real estate sector that supports economic growth and aligns with the goals of the comprehensive real estate sector strategy. The Forum will feature dialogue sessions that explore the impact, opportunities, and challenges in the sector, as well as the role of real estate platforms in shaping the market’s future. It will also spotlight successful case studies from real estate platforms involved in brokerage activities.

Al-Mufarrej added that the Forum will be accompanied by an exhibition designed to showcase various real estate activities. It will include dedicated sections for beneficiaries of the real estate brokerage platform and services offered by the Real Estate Institute. There will also be an area for receiving inquiries and serving partners, all aimed at enhancing the communication of real estate sector messages and promoting awareness of real estate laws and regulations. These efforts reflect REGA’s commitment to transparency and community engagement as it works toward sector development and sustainability.

It is worth noting that the Real Estate Brokerage Law came into force on 25 Jumada Al-Awwal 1444 Hijri, corresponding to 18 January 2023. The law aims to regulate brokerage and real estate services, deliver innovative and high-quality services to beneficiaries, support the work of brokers and clients, and promote the sustainability of real estate assets. The Real Estate Brokerage Forum is open to the public, stakeholders, and specialists in the real estate field, including practitioners of brokerage activities and providers of real estate consultations and analyses. It offers a valuable opportunity to benefit from the topics addressed in the dialogue sessions and exhibition, while promoting greater awareness of real estate transactions.
