The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced that the deadline for the first real estate title registration for 23 neighborhoods in Makkah Region will end on Thursday, 13 Ramadan 1446 Hijri, corresponding to 13 March 2025.
REGA urged property owners in the following neighborhoods— (Al-Shamiya Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Shabeeka Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Falaq Al-Jadeed District, part of Harat Al-Bab Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Qashashiya Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Musayal Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Hajla Al-Jadeed District, part of Tuwa District, part of Taiba District, part of Al-Hamra District, part of Al-Yamama District, part of Ma’ad District, part of Al-Jamea District, part of Al-Sanabil District, part of Al-Tarwiya District, part of Al-Sharaee District, part of Al-Maqam District, part of Wadi Jaleel District, part of Al-Safa District, part of Al-Mughmas District, parts of Al-Adl District, parts of Qurtuba District, and parts of Al-Khadra District)—to promptly register their properties through the Real Estate Registry Platform before the deadline expires to benefit from services such as executing real estate transactions and documenting all changes affecting the property.
REGA explained that real estate title registration enables the issuance of a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed for each registered real estate unit. The new Title Registration Deed includes the property’s precise geographical location, owner details, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions related to it. This serves as the foundation for documenting ownership and the corresponding real estate rights, contributing to the sustainability and development of the real estate sector and its key enablers.
REGA emphasized that failing to register properties within the specified period outlined in the announcement decision will expose owners to financial penalties as stipulated in the Real Estate Registration Law, with penalties determined by a specialized violations committee. REGA also clarified that real estate title registration applications will continue to be accepted in all announced regions even after the specified registration period ends.
It is worth noting that the National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry) is responsible for implementing the establishment and management of the Real Estate Registry in the Kingdom, using modern technologies and geospatial data through an integrated digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
