The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) is participating in the global real estate sector exhibition MIPIM, held in Cannes, France, from 12 to 15 March. Through its dedicated pavilion, REGA is showcasing Saudi Arabia’s real estate legislation and prominent regulatory practices in the sector. REGA’s Official Spokesperson, Taiseer Al-Mufarrej, affirmed that REGA’s participation reflects its commitment to highlighting the Saudi real estate sector and its contribution to achieving investment diversification—one of the core objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He also emphasized REGA’s role in demonstrating how real estate laws enhance the attractiveness of investment in the Kingdom’s real estate sector.
Al-Mufarrej added that REGA, along with other government entities, has now reached a stage where it exports its experiences and regulatory practices. This is evident from the growing international interest in the legislation developed by the Kingdom to enable continuous growth across economic sectors. REGA’s participation in international real estate exhibitions and conferences is part of its broader mandate to raise awareness and encourage investment in the Saudi real estate sector.
Al-Mufarrej explained that REGA’s presence at “MIPIM 2024 Global Real Estate Exhibition” includes showcasing the real estate legislative framework, which features the Real Estate Brokerage Law and Real Estate Contributions Law, as well as activities regulated by REGA, such as: (Off-Plan Sale and Lease, Ejar Program, Real Estate Unit Subdivision Program, Mullak Program, Saudi Real Estate Institute, and Real Estate Registry). Participating in this international event provides REGA with the opportunity to engage with senior officials, executives, and global experts in the real estate industry, introducing them to the Kingdom’s real estate systems and the investment opportunities emerging in the Saudi market, while also highlighting the Kingdom’s economic diversification efforts. Additionally, REGA aims to gain insights into the latest advancements in real estate technologies, process automation, and legislative developments from other participating countries.
