The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) carried out (21,312) awareness visits to real estate establishments across all regions of the Kingdom during the first quarter of 2024. In addition, it implemented (15) joint field campaigns in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, covering the Riyadh, Eastern, and Makkah regions. These efforts aimed to ensure compliance with real estate legislation—particularly the Real Estate Brokerage Law—and to oversee real estate transactions conducted through licensed real estate offices. The campaigns also addressed matters under the jurisdiction of partner government entities, including Saudization, establishment licensing, and compliance of employees in the sector. Furthermore, REGA conducted over (19,246) electronic supervisory operations via its digital monitoring channel to verify adherence to laws and regulations.
During the same period, REGA received (3,404) reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and resolved. A total of (251) violations were recorded, and appropriate legal measures were taken. REGA confirmed that its compliance efforts are structured across four main tracks: inspections by REGA’s specialized supervision teams, joint campaigns with other government bodies, electronic monitoring, and the response track for submitted reports via its platform.
REGA urged all real estate brokers and service providers to fully comply with legal regulations, refrain from actions or omissions that could harm the interests of clients or conflict with the law, and promptly notify REGA of any changes related to their real estate brokerage activities. It also emphasized the obligation to register all brokerage contracts and completed transactions through the official electronic platform, and to cooperate with supervision teams by allowing access to their premises and providing all necessary documents, licenses, and records. REGA reminded stakeholders that violations are subject to financial penalties or administrative measures and can be reviewed through its official website. REGA also called on citizens and residents to report suspected violations, real estate fraud, or to submit inquiries through its official platform or by calling the customer service number (199011).
