The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, conducted (14) joint inspection tours during August. These included visits to (180) real estate establishments across the Riyadh Region, Eastern Region, Makkah Region, and Al-Qassim Region, with the goal of ensuring compliance with real estate legislation in general—and the Real Estate Brokerage Law in particular—alongside regulations under the jurisdiction of participating government entities related to Saudization and business licensing.
REGA emphasized that fieldwork is one of its key approaches to regulating the real estate market. During the same period, REGA’s inspection teams carried out (16,867) field inspection operations, which resulted in the identification of (9,633) violations involving real estate advertisements displayed in public spaces. In addition, REGA received (907) real estate-related reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and processed. Electronic scanning operations also exceeded (21,322), reflecting REGA’s commitment to digital monitoring across online platforms and real estate websites to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
REGA urged all real estate brokers and service providers to adhere to the provisions of real estate laws and to take corrective action regarding any violations in order to avoid penalties. These may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines. The law’s implementing regulations specify the types of violations and the corresponding penalties. REGA also encouraged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or real estate fraud through the official reporting channel on REGA’s platform or by calling the customer service center at (199011) for real estate-related inquiries.
