The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, conducted (12) joint inspection tours during November. These included visits to (148) real estate establishments across the Riyadh Region, Eastern Region, and Makkah Region. The objective of these tours was to ensure compliance with real estate legislation in general—and the Real Estate Brokerage Law in particular—as well as matters falling under the jurisdiction of the participating government entities, especially those related to Saudization.
REGA clarified that field inspection is one of the key tools it uses to regulate the real estate market. During the same period, REGA’s inspection teams carried out (13,255) field inspection operations, which led to the detection of (9,457) non-compliant real estate advertisements displayed in public places. Additionally, REGA received (213) real estate reports through its various communication channels, all of which were processed and addressed. Electronic monitoring operations also exceeded (14,559), targeting digital channels and real estate platforms to verify the authenticity and legality of advertisements and digital real estate brokerage practices, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
REGA urged all real estate brokers and service providers to adhere to the provisions of real estate laws and to take corrective action regarding any violations in order to avoid penalties. These may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines. The law’s implementing regulations specify the types of violations and the corresponding penalties. REGA also encouraged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or real estate fraud through the official reporting channel on REGA’s platform or by calling the customer service center at (199011) for real estate-related inquiries.
