The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, conducted (11) joint inspection tours during July. These included visits to (173) real estate establishments across the Riyadh Region, Eastern Region, and Makkah Region. The tours aimed to ensure compliance with real estate legislation in general—and the Real Estate Brokerage Law in particular—as well as to verify adherence to Saudization requirements and business licensing regulations under the jurisdiction of participating government entities.
REGA emphasized that fieldwork is one of its core methods for regulating the real estate market. During the same period, REGA’s inspection teams visited (21,194) real estate establishments and sites, leading to the detection of (11,367) violations related to real estate advertisements displayed in public spaces. Additionally, REGA received (603) real estate reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and resolved. The number of real estate advertisements scanned electronically to verify compliance exceeded (26,887). REGA continues to adopt electronic monitoring methods that target digital channels and real estate platforms to ensure that all advertisements and digital brokerage practices adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
REGA urged all real estate brokers and service providers to adhere to the provisions of real estate laws and to take corrective action regarding any violations in order to avoid penalties. These may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines. The law’s implementing regulations specify the types of violations and the corresponding penalties. REGA also encouraged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or real estate fraud through the official reporting channel on REGA’s platform or by calling the customer service center at (199011) for real estate-related inquiries.
