The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, conducted 10 joint inspection tours during February, covering 149 real estate establishments across Riyadh Region, Eastern Region, and Makkah Region.
These tours aim to ensure compliance with real estate legislation in general, and the Real Estate Brokerage Law in particular, as well as matters within the jurisdiction of participating government entities related to Saudization.
REGA clarified that field inspections are a key track in its efforts to regulate the real estate market. During the same period, REGA’s inspection teams carried out 2,019 field inspection operations, which led to the detection of 20,342 non-compliant real estate advertisements in public places. Additionally, REGA received 584 real estate reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and resolved. The number of electronic scanning operations exceeded 6,790, reflecting REGA’s commitment to adopting electronic monitoring systems that target digital channels and real estate platforms to verify the compliance of advertisements and digital real estate brokerage practices with applicable laws and regulations.
REGA called on all real estate brokers and service providers to comply with the provisions of the real estate laws and to review the list of violations to avoid penalties, which may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines. The law’s implementing regulations set out the classification of violations and their corresponding penalties. REGA also urged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or cases of real estate fraud through the report response channel on REGA’s official platform or by calling the unified number (199011) for real estate inquiries.
