The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) concluded its participation in the "Cityscape Bahrain 2023" exhibition, held from 14 to 18 November under the patronage and attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event brought together prominent speakers, experts, international real estate developers, and individuals interested in real estate investments, under the theme “Sustainability and Digital Transformation in the Real Estate Sector.”
REGA showcased, through its dedicated pavilion at the exhibition, key components of the real estate legislative system it has issued—most notably, the Real Estate Brokerage Law and the Law of Real Estate Registration—as well as activities under its regulatory scope, including the Off-Plan Sale Committee "WAFI."
Naif Al-Sharif, Secretary-General of the Off-Plan Sale and Lease Committee "WAFI," participated in a panel session titled “Off-Plan Sale and Lease Experience in Saudi Arabia.” Additionally, Taiseer Al-Mufarrej, Director General of Strategic Communication at REGA, took part in a dialogue session titled “The Importance of Real Estate Legislation in Developing the Real Estate Sector.”
REGA’s participation in "Cityscape Bahrain 2023" aligned with its role in real estate title registration, regulating the non-governmental real estate sector, and promoting awareness of systems and activities within the sector. These efforts support improved governance, enhance performance efficiency, maintain sustainability, serve stakeholders, and increase transparency in line with the comprehensive real estate sector strategy.
It is worth noting that the exhibition featured more than 40 exhibitors and showcased 58 real estate projects, including luxury developments such as beachfront villas, modern apartments, gated communities, and private islands. More than 10,000 real estate products from renowned developers across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries were on display.
