The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) concluded yesterday, Sunday, 1 Muharram 1446 Hijri, corresponding to 7 July 2024, the first edition of the “Real Estate Media Forum” held at the Riyadh Convention and Exhibition Center in the capital, Riyadh. The event was attended by REGA’s Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad. The Forum focused on the vital role of media in raising real estate awareness across all segments of society, contributing to the advancement of the real estate sector and the achievement of its strategic goals. It featured the participation of prominent media figures and real estate sector experts.
REGA’s official spokesperson, Mr. Taiseer bin Mohammed Al-Mufarrej, affirmed that media plays a key role in shaping and developing the real estate sector, significantly contributing to increased transparency, reliability, and sustainable sector growth. He emphasized that REGA collaborates with partners in the media industry to integrate real estate and media efforts, aiming to promote awareness and understanding of real estate laws and regulations throughout society. The Real Estate Media Forum coincided with REGA’s launch of its new visual identity, signaling its commitment to advancing the comprehensive real estate sector strategy and ensuring long-term sustainability based on principles of governance, empowerment, sustainability, market effectiveness, and stakeholder service—ultimately enhancing sector development and investment appeal.
In the first dialogue session, a distinguished group of media professionals discussed the theme “Media’s Role in the Real Estate Industry,” highlighting the importance of collaboration between the media and real estate sectors. The speakers underscored that real estate is among the world’s largest sectors and is highly sensitive to information—whether positive or negative. They also commended REGA’s active oversight of published content in the real estate domain and its prompt responses through press releases and publications, which have contributed to reinforcing trust in the sector and its regulatory framework.
The second dialogue session addressed the topic “Data and Its Role in Real Estate Consultations and Analyses,” emphasizing the importance of the Real Estate Title Registration Project launched by REGA in providing clear, accurate, and comprehensive information to sector stakeholders. Speakers cautioned against relying on recommendations from unqualified or unlicensed sources, urging information seekers to consult trusted and certified entities.
It is worth noting that REGA, through the organization of the Real Estate Media Forum, aims to promote integration between the media and real estate sectors to expand public awareness of real estate trends, services, and rights protection mechanisms. The Forum also seeks to highlight the importance of data as a primary source of information, contributing to a more complete understanding of the performance of various real estate programs, systems, and operations.
