Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), welcomed Engineer Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Obaidli, Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Real Estate Sector Regulation in the State of Qatar, along with his accompanying delegation, at REGA’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly nations in the real estate sector.
During the visit, the Qatari delegation was briefed on REGA’s regulatory and legislative efforts within the Kingdom’s real estate sector. They reviewed REGA’s comprehensive strategy and its pioneering experience in real estate development, including off-plan sale systems, real estate contributions, and the escrow account mechanism. The delegation also learned about real estate operations related to licensing, supervision, and the services provided by the Saudi Real Estate Arbitration Center. Additionally, the delegation visited the headquarters of the National Housing Company, which was presented as a model of REGA’s operational processes, platform development, and real estate services monitoring. They also toured the off-plan sale and lease operations center and reviewed the working mechanisms of its operational team.
The delegation expressed their appreciation for the insights gained into REGA’s systems, legislation, experiences, operational models, platforms, and real estate services that collectively enhance trust and transparency in the sector. They emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences to overcome challenges and promote sector growth in both countries, aligned with best practices for sustainable urban development and the creation of vibrant, flexible, and environmentally responsible urban communities that meet economic and social objectives.
