H.E. Eng Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, Chief Executive Officer of the General Real Estate Authority (REGA), took part in the Meeting of GCC Real Estate Authorities’ Leaders, convened on the margins of the Qatar Real Estate Forum 2025 in Doha. His Excellency underscored that this gathering profoundly illustrates the GCC's spirit of cooperation, reflecting a shared resolve to consolidate institutional practices, align strategic outlooks, and unify regulatory frameworks within the real estate domain.

Eng. Al-Hammad clarified that the meeting serves as an extension of an integrated Gulf trajectory aimed at enhancing regulatory frameworks and legislation, alongside the vital exchange of expertise across all organizational and developmental spheres. He affirmed that the real estate sector represents a principal economic development impetus for the GCC member states. Furthermore, he commended the proactive and instrumental role played by Qatar’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority - Aqarat through its qualitative initiatives in fostering collaborative Gulf efforts, which distinctly manifest a spirit of pioneering cooperation in elevating institutional efficiency and unifying endeavors towards achieving shared strategic objectives.

REGA CEO stressed that Gulf legislative integration is pivotal, serving as the essential bedrock for cultivating a real estate market characterized by superior stability and transparency. He further expounded that REGA, operating under the patronage of the astute leadership, is proactively engaging its counterparts in member states to affect the alignment of regulations and the exchange of best practices concerning Real Estate Registration, Real Estate Development Oversight, and Brokerage Activities. This coordination is intended to effectively incentivize investment, assure the protection of rights, and significantly augment the efficiency of the real estate markets.

Al-Hammad further lauded the role of the GCC Statistical Centre in underpinning joint planning, recognizing it as a unified data platform instrumental in measuring market performance, analyzing indicators, and enabling accurate, data-driven decision-making. He affirmed that this approach fully aligns with REGA's mandate, which is predicated upon promoting transparency and reliance on verified data.

Eng. Al-Hammad concluded by underscoring REGA's commitment to advancing joint Gulf action and actively participating in formulating the regulatory and legislative frameworks that will contribute to the real estate sector’s development and enhance its efficiency, thus achieving institutional integration and sustainable development across the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
