The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the start of real estate registration in ten beneficiary districts in Riyadh City, beginning on 26 May 2024, corresponding to 18 Dhul Qi'dah 1445 Hijri, and continuing until 29 August 2024, corresponding to 25 Safar 1446 Hijri.
REGA explained that the districts included in this phase are: Al-Mahdiyah, Al-Khuzama, Arqah, Zahrat Laban, Al-Safarat, Namar, Al-Marwah, Shabra, Badr, and Al-Shifa—covering a total area of (172.24) square kilometers. REGA confirmed that district selection is based on specific criteria, and that additional regions and districts eligible for the Real Estate Registry will be announced successively in future phases.
REGA clarified that initial property registration in these districts can be completed through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform or by visiting designated service centers. Title registration requires a valid and legally compliant title deed in order to complete the registration process.
Property owners in the listed districts are urged to verify the validity of their title deeds and ensure all necessary requirements are met ahead of registration. For inquiries regarding registration steps and procedures, beneficiaries may consult REGA’s official platforms or contact the customer service center at 199002. Starting from the specified registration date, a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed will be issued for each registered real estate unit. The Title Registration Deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. This system aims to strengthen infrastructure and support the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Law of Real Estate Registration is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of the real estate sector.
