The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the commencement of registration for (4,774) real estate plots across six districts in Madinah, starting from 30 June 2024, corresponding to 24 Dhul Hijjah 1445 Hijri, and continuing until 3 October 2024, corresponding to 30 Rabi' Al-Awwal 1446 Hijri.
REGA clarified that the districts included in this phase of the Real Estate Registry are: part of King Fahd District, part of Al-Aqoul District, part of Jamma Umm Khalid District, Railway District, part of Al-Khadra District, and part of Abiar Al-Mashi District. These districts were selected based on specific criteria, and REGA confirmed that additional regions and districts eligible for registration across the Kingdom will be announced progressively in upcoming phases.
REGA noted that initial property registration in these areas can be completed through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform or at designated service centers. The title registration process requires the presence of a legally valid title deed that meets the necessary legal requirements for registration.
REGA urged property owners in the designated districts to verify their title deeds and ensure they meet the necessary conditions in preparation for the registration process. For inquiries regarding registration steps, owners may consult REGA’s official platforms or contact the customer service center at 199002.
Starting from the specified registration date, a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed will be issued for each registered real estate unit. The Title Registration Deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. This system aims to strengthen infrastructure and support the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Law of Real Estate Registration is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of the real estate sector.
