REGA Announces Start of Registration in 11 Districts in Riyadh City Beginning 22 Muharram
The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the start of registration for (113,541) real estate plots across (11) districts in Riyadh City, beginning on 28 July 2024, corresponding to 22 Muharram 1446 Hijri, and continuing until 31 October 2024, corresponding to 28 Rabi' Al-Thani 1446 Hijri.
REGA clarified that the districts included in this phase of the Real Estate Registry are: Tuwaiq District, part of Arid District, King Abdulaziz District, Al-Sulaimaniyah District, Al-Wizarat District, Al-Fakhriyah District, Alisha District, Al-Sina’iyah District, Al-Khalidiyah District, Al-Dar Al-Bayda District, and Al-Difa’ District. The selection of these districts was based on specific criteria, and additional districts and regions across the Kingdom that will benefit from the Real Estate Registry will be announced successively in the coming periods.
REGA explained that the initial registration of properties in these areas can be completed through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform at https://rer.sa/rer-services-ar/ or via designated service centers. To proceed with registration, a valid title deed that meets all legal requirements is necessary.
REGA urges property owners in the eligible districts to verify their property title deeds and ensure that all necessary documentation is in place ahead of the registration period. Information regarding registration steps is available on REGA’s official platforms or by contacting the customer service center at 199002.
Beginning on the announced registration date, each real estate unit that is registered will be assigned a unique “property number,” and a title registration deed will be issued. This deed will include detailed information about the property, including its description, current condition, and any associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial data. This initiative contributes to strengthening infrastructure and supporting the sustainability of the real estate sector, in line with the objectives of the Law of Real Estate Registration to enhance reliability and transparency in the sector.
