The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the start of real estate title registration operations for (4,871) real estate plots in Taibah District, Riyadh City. The registration period will begin on 1 September 2024, corresponding to 28 Safar 1446 Hijri, and will continue until 5 December 2024, corresponding to 4 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1446 Hijri. REGA clarified that the selection of Taibah District was based on specific criteria, and that additional regions and districts across the Kingdom will be included in future registration phases, which will be announced successively.
The initial registration of properties in this district will be available through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform (https://rer.sa) or by visiting designated service centers. REGA noted that title registration requires a valid title deed that meets all legal requirements to complete the process. Property owners in the area are encouraged to verify their title deeds and ensure that all necessary documentation is in place in preparation for the registration. Details about the registration steps can be obtained through REGA’s official platforms or by calling the customer service center at 199002.
Starting from the registration date, each registered real estate unit will be assigned a unique "property number" and issued a title registration deed. This deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, and associated rights and obligations, all linked to accurate geospatial information. These efforts support infrastructure development and the sustainability of the real estate sector, in line with the Law of Real Estate Registration’s aim to enhance market reliability and promote transparency.
