The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the start of real estate title registration operations for (9,695) real estate plots in (4) districts in Madinah. The registration period will begin on 29 September 2024, corresponding to 26 Rabi' Al-Awwal 1446 Hijri, and will continue until 2 January 2025, corresponding to 2 Rajab 1446 Hijri.

REGA clarified that the districts covered in this phase include: part of Wadi Al-Batin District, part of Dawda District, part of Wadi Al-Batan District, and part of Al-Aqoul District). REGA explained that these districts were selected based on specific criteria, and additional regions and districts across the Kingdom will be included in upcoming phases to be announced successively.

REGA indicated that initial title registration for properties in these areas will be available through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform (https://rer.sa/ /) or through designated service centers. Title registration requires a valid title deed that meets the legal requirements for completing the process. Property owners in the listed districts are encouraged to verify their title deeds and ensure all necessary documentation is in place ahead of the registration start date. Information on the registration steps is available through REGA’s official platforms or by contacting the customer service center at 199002.

From the specified registration date, each registered real estate unit will be assigned a unique "property number" and issued a title registration deed. This deed will include comprehensive property data, descriptions, condition, and associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. These efforts support infrastructure development and contribute to the sustainability of the real estate sector, in line with the objectives of the Law of Real Estate Registration to strengthen market reliability and promote transparency.
