The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the commencement of real estate title registration operations for (43,495) real estate plots in (4) districts in Riyadh City and (13) districts in Al-Diriyah Governorate. The registration period will begin on 27 October 2024, corresponding to 24 Rabi' Al-Thani 1446 Hijri, and will continue until 30 January 2025, corresponding to 30 Rajab 1446 Hijri.

REGA clarified that the districts included in this phase of the Real Estate Registry in Riyadh City are: (Banban District, Al-Manakh District, Al-Faisaliyah District, and Al-Masha’il District). In Al-Diriyah Governorate, the districts are: (Zahrat Al-Awdah West District, Zahrat Al-Awdah East District, Al-Asimah District, Al-Malqah District, Quraywa District, Al-Faisaliyah District, Al-Sarhiyah District, Al-Thulayma District, Al-Khalidiyah District, Al-Shuhada District, Al-Salmaniyah District, Al-Malik District, and Al-Mughtarah District).    REGA explained that these districts were selected based on specific criteria, and that additional regions, governorates, and districts across the Kingdom will be included in future phases, to be announced successively.

REGA noted that the initial registration of properties in these areas will be available through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform

or by visiting designated service centers. Title registration requires the presence of a valid title deed that complies with legal requirements. REGA urged property owners in the listed districts to verify their title deeds and ensure all necessary documents are in order in preparation for the registration process. For information about registration steps, property owners can consult REGA’s official platforms or contact the customer service center at 199002.

Starting from the specified registration date, a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed will be issued for each registered real estate unit. The Title Registration Deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. This system aims to strengthen infrastructure and support the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Law of Real Estate Registration is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of the real estate sector.
