The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the commencement of real estate title registration operations for 30,297 properties across 40 neighborhoods in Qatif Governorate and 18 properties in Huraymila Governorate. Registration will begin on 23 February 2025, corresponding to 24 Sha'ban 1446 Hijri, and will continue until the end of 29 May 2025, corresponding to 2 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1446 Hijri.
REGA clarified that the neighborhoods benefiting from the Real Estate Registry in this phase include the following in Qatif Governorate: (Al-Ruwaihah, Al-Kawthar, Al-Badr, Gharnata, Al-Khaleej, Al-Firdaws, Al-Muntazah, Al-Dera, Al-Aqeeq, Al-Bustan, Al-Naqa, Qurtuba, Anak, Al-Salam, Al-Khusab, Al-Naseem, Al-Taff, Al-Ghadeer, Al-Mahar, Al-Nour, Al-Bawadi, Al-Narjis, Al-Jameema, Al-Reef, Al-Awamiya, Al-Zara, Al-Thuraya, Al-Safa, Al-Amal, Al-Manar, Al-Uruba, Al-Rabwa, Umm Al-Sahik, Hazm, Al-Marwa, Al-Hazm, Al-Budour, Al-Rehab, Al-Museef, and Abu Ma'an). The registration also covers a number of properties located along the old Riyadh–Sudair–Qassim Road in Huraymila Governorate. REGA clarified that the selection of neighborhoods was based on specific criteria, and it will continue to announce, in stages, additional regions, governorates, and neighborhoods that will undergo real estate title registration in various areas of the Kingdom in the coming periods.
REGA further noted that the initial registration of properties in these areas and neighborhoods will be available through the Real Estate Registry electronic platform at https://rer.sa/ or through designated service centers. Title registration requires a valid title deed that complies with legal requirements to complete the process. Property owners in the designated regions are urged to verify their title deeds and ensure all necessary conditions are met in preparation for registration. Starting from the specified registration date, a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed will be issued for each registered real estate unit. The Title Registration Deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. This system aims to strengthen infrastructure and support the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Law of Real Estate Registration is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of the real estate sector.
