The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the launch of real estate title registration operations for (19,239) properties across (28) neighborhoods in the Makkah Region, beginning on 19 January 2025 and continuing through 24 April 2025.
REGA stated that this phase includes parts of the following neighborhoods in Makkah: (Al-Safwa District, Dar Al-Salam District, Al-Naseem District, Al-Shameesi District, Al-Tarwiya District, Al-Rashidiya District, Al-Kawthar District, Taiba District, Ain Shams District, Al-Hateem District, Al-Awali District, Al-Umrah District, Al-Shuhada District, Al-Kaakiya District, Jabal Al-Nour District, Al-Umrah District, Al-Jamea District, Al-Diafa District, Uhud District, Al-Rashidiya District, Al-Hamra District, Al-Furqan District, Al-Asaliya District, Wadi Jaleel District, Ja'ranah District, Al-Safa District, Al-Ghuzayat District, and Al-Maqam District).
REGA explained that these neighborhoods were selected based on specific criteria and that it will continue to announce the remaining regions, governorates, and neighborhoods scheduled for real estate title registration operations throughout other parts of the Kingdom in future phases.
REGA clarified that the initial registration of properties in these areas will be available through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform at https://rer.sa or through designated service centers. Registration requires a title deed that meets all legal conditions necessary to complete the process. REGA urged property owners in the designated areas to verify their title deeds and ensure that all required documentation is in order ahead of the registration start date. Starting from the specified registration date, a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed will be issued for each registered real estate unit. The Title Registration Deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. This system aims to strengthen infrastructure and support the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Law of Real Estate Registration is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of the real estate sector.
