The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the commencement of real estate title registration operations for 37,023 properties across 24 neighborhoods in the Makkah Region. The registration will begin on 8 December 2024, corresponding to 7 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1446 Hijri, and continue until 13 March 2025, corresponding to 13 Ramadan 1446 Hijri.

REGA explained that the neighborhoods included in this phase of the Real Estate Registry are as follows: (Al-Shamiya Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Shabeeka Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Falaq Al-Jadeed District, part of Harat Al-Bab Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Qashashiya Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Musayal Al-Jadeed District, part of Al-Hajla Al-Jadeed District, part of Tuwa District, part of Taiba District, part of Al-Hamra District, part of Al-Yamama District, part of Al-Khadra District, part of Ma’ad District, part of Al-Jamea District, part of Al-Sanabil District, part of Al-Tarwiya District, part of Al-Sharaee District, part of Al-Maqam District, part of Wadi Jaleel District, part of Al-Safa District, part of Al-Mughmas District, parts of Al-Adl District, parts of Qurtuba District, parts of Al-Khadra District). REGA clarified that the neighborhoods were selected based on specific criteria and that it will continue to announce additional regions, governorates, and neighborhoods across the Kingdom that will be subject to real estate title registration operations in future phases.

REGA noted that the initial registration of properties in these areas will be available through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform or via service centers. Title registration requires a title deed that meets the legal requirements to complete the process.  Property owners in the designated regions are urged to verify their title deeds and ensure all necessary conditions are met in preparation for registration. For inquiries, property owners may contact REGA’s official platforms or the customer service center at 199002.

Starting from the specified registration date, a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed will be issued for each registered real estate unit. The Title Registration Deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial information. This system aims to strengthen infrastructure and support the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Law of Real Estate Registration is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of the real estate sector.
