The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Faisal University to establish a framework for developing programs related to real estate activities and human capability development. This initiative is part of REGA’s ongoing efforts to elevate professional standards in the Kingdom’s real estate sector.
The memorandum was signed by REGA’s Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Hiyaza, President of Faisal University.
The MoU focuses on integrating real estate sciences into education by supporting the development of academic courses, curricula, graduation projects, postgraduate studies, research initiatives, and scientific publications. The goal is to ensure that graduates are well-prepared to apply their knowledge effectively in both the public and private sectors.
Additionally, the memorandum aims to promote public awareness of REGA’s services and initiatives, coordinate with government agencies and institutions on research and studies, and facilitate the exchange of information and expertise. It also supports the development and implementation of diplomas and specialized programs in real estate sciences, as well as the coordination of joint research, curriculum development, training, employment programs, and other related areas.
Engineer Al-Hammad emphasized that the collaboration with Faisal University stems from a shared belief in the university’s vital role as a knowledge partner. He highlighted the university’s commitment to equipping students with strong foundational skills and knowledge through well-designed curricula that align with the needs of both the community and the labor market.
He added that REGA is committed to fostering partnerships with relevant institutions in accordance with its clear strategy to develop the real estate sector and build trust, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that REGA, through its educational arm—the Saudi Real Estate Institute—continues to work toward raising knowledge levels and qualifying professionals in the Saudi real estate market. The Institute offers training and development programs aimed at enhancing understanding of real estate laws and legislation, while also advancing the professional skills of workers in the sector.
