The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced the documentation of over 96,000 real estate brokerage contracts during the first quarter of 2025, at a rate of 44 contracts per hour and 1,066 contracts per day. This brings the total number of documented contracts since the implementation of the Real Estate Brokerage Law to more than 507,000. The number of documented contracts grew by 97% compared to the same quarter in 2024, reflecting increased awareness among market participants and their commitment to complying with the laws and regulations governing contractual relationships, protecting rights, and fostering a reliable and organized real estate environment.
REGA further explained that in the first quarter of 2025, it issued over 7,875 licenses covering activities such as real estate brokerage and marketing, real estate consulting and analytics, property and facility management, and the organization of real estate auctions. In addition, it issued over 105,000 licenses for real estate advertisements and licensed 10 new electronic real estate platforms, bringing the total number of licensed platforms to 71 since the implementation of the Real Estate Brokerage Law. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency and quality of real estate transactions within a regulated environment that ensures the protection of rights and reinforces trust in the sector.
It is also worth noting that REGA conducted more than 36,000 field inspection operations during the first quarter of 2025, which resulted in identifying 51,352 violations related to real estate advertisements in public spaces. REGA also conducted 35 joint inspection campaigns in collaboration with relevant entities, which included visits to 466 real estate establishments. Additionally, REGA received 1,745 real estate reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and resolved. Electronic scanning operations exceeded 23,746, reflecting REGA’s commitment to adopting electronic monitoring tools that target digital channels and real estate platforms to verify the compliance of advertisements and digital real estate brokerage practices with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to real estate laws and legislation.
