The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced that more than (250,000) new title registration deeds have been issued through the Real Estate Registry Platform since the launch of title registration operations in May 2023. These figures reflect activity in the regions announced by REGA as beneficiaries of the “title registration” initiative, including Riyadh, Makkah, Dammam, Madinah, and Buraidah.
REGA’s Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, explained that the successful rollout of title registration operations—beginning with Al-Falah District as the first area—can be attributed to the high quality of geospatial data collected using advanced technologies, including manned aircraft and high-precision drones. He noted that REGA has continued to announce new real estate regions for registration based on specific criteria, primarily the availability and maturity of accurate real estate unit data.
Al-Hammad emphasized that the Real Estate Registry has leveraged remote sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, and satellite-based GPS positioning to accelerate the processing of deed data. This, coupled with integration among relevant public and private entities and increased awareness among property owners, has significantly contributed to the speed of issuing property numbers and registration deeds. These achievements reflect REGA’s continued efforts to develop the real estate sector through digitization and the provision of a unified source of real estate data via the Real Estate Registry platform. The platform compiles all essential property information, including descriptions, condition, rights, and obligations.
Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Sulaiman, CEO of the National Real Estate Registration Services Company, confirmed that the Company is solely responsible for the operational implementation of title registration across the Kingdom. Since its inception, the Company has developed the Real Estate Registry platform in line with international best practices and standards for real estate registry systems. It has adopted the latest technologies to drive the sector forward, accelerate digital transformation, and enhance the user journey by offering a range of services. These include end-to-end execution of real estate transactions and ownership transfers via the platform, in addition to title deed verification, property search, subdivision, merger and partition services, as well as owner list reviews and property lookup features.
It is worth noting that REGA, through the Real Estate Registry, aims to improve the overall efficiency of the real estate sector, increase reliability and transparency, and enhance accessibility to property ownership information. These efforts support the Kingdom’s goals of boosting investment attractiveness locally, regionally, and globally in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
