The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has announced the upcoming deadline for the first real estate title registration for 22 neighborhoods in Riyadh City, 25 neighborhoods in Al-Muzahimiya Governorate, and 11 neighborhoods in Al-Diriyah Governorate. The deadline will expire at the end of the day on Thursday, 13 February 2025, corresponding to 14 Sha'ban 1446 Hijri.

REGA clarified that title registration will close for the following neighborhoods in Riyadh City:  (part of Areed District, Wadi Laban, King Abdullah City for Energy, Al-Wisam, Al-Sahab, Al-Marjan, Al-Bashair, Al-Iskan, Al-Bariya, New Industrial City, Hit, Khashm Al-An, Uhud, Okaz, Dirab, Al-Mansouriya, Al-Hair, Al-Amajiya, Al-Ghanamiya, Umm Al-Sha'al, Al-Sahba, and Al-Musaffa). REGA urged property owners in the listed neighborhoods to promptly register their properties via the  Real Estate Registry Platform at rer.sa before the deadline expires, in order to benefit from services such as executing real estate transactions and documenting all changes related to the property.

REGA clarified that the Real Estate Register will issue a "Property Number" and a Title Registration Deed for each registered unit. The new Title Registration Deed will include the property's precise geographical location, owner details, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions that affect it. This process serves as the foundation for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, contributing to the sustainability and enhancement of the real estate sector and its key enablers.

REGA reaffirmed that failure to register properties within the specified deadline in the announcement decision will expose property owners to financial penalties as stipulated in the Law of Real Estate Registration, with penalties determined by a specialized committee for reviewing violations. REGA also confirmed that real estate title registration applications will remain open in all announced regions even after the registration period expires.

It is worth noting that the National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry RER) is responsible for establishing and managing the Real Estate Register in the Kingdom using advanced technologies and geospatial data through an integrated digital platform that enhances transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
