The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced that seven regions in Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah will benefit from the Real Estate Registry in its upcoming phase. This phase covers (368,565) real estate plots across (48) districts, spanning a total area of (910.27) square kilometers in the three cities. Registration will begin on 24 December 2023, corresponding to 11 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1445 Hijri, and continue until 28 March 2024, corresponding to 18 Ramadan 1445 Hijri. REGA confirmed that the selection of districts was made based on approved criteria, and that additional regions and districts will be announced progressively as they become ready.

This marks the third phase in the implementation of the Real Estate Registry and includes seven regions within three cities. The five regions in Riyadh City encompass (46) districts, namely: King Salman, Al-Basateen, Al-Tadamun, Al-Zaher, Al-Risala, Al-Raya, Al-Ula, Al-Mashriq, Al-Khair, Al-Arid, Al-Narjis, Al-Qairawan, Al-Yasmin, Al-Malqa, Al-Sahafa, Al-Nada, Al-Rabee, Al-Aqeeq, Hittin, Al-Nakheel, Al-Muhammadiyah, King Fahd, Al-Wurud, Al-Rahmaniyah, Al-Raed, King Saud University, Al-Mursalat, Al-Maghrazat, Al-Nuzha, King Abdullah, Al-Rawda, Al-Quds, Al-Hamra, Al-Shuhada, Qurtuba, Imam Mohammed bin Saud University, Al-Andalus, King Faisal, Ghirnata, Al-Nahda, Al-Khaleej, Ishbiliya, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Munsiya, Al-Maizila, and Al-Qadisiya. The sixth region includes Al-Shu’la District in Dammam City, while the seventh includes Al-Aqool District in Madinah.

REGA clarified that property registration in these regions can be completed through the Real Estate Registry’s electronic platform at https://rer.sa/rer-services-ar/    أو or by visiting designated service centers. Title registration requires a title deed issued by the Ministry of Justice that includes complete and accurate ownership information, valid identification, and a power of attorney if the application is submitted by an agent.

REGA urged property owners in the identified regions and districts to verify the validity of their title deeds and ensure that all required documents and conditions are in place in preparation for the registration process. For inquiries regarding procedures and steps, property owners can contact the customer service center at 199002.

It is worth noting that the National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry – RER) is responsible for establishing and managing the Real Estate Registry across the Kingdom. This is done through an integrated digital platform powered by geospatial technologies and data, enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate data and services. In addition to leveraging advanced technology, certified registrars will begin field operations in the designated regions starting from the announced registration date. Each real estate unit will receive a unique “property number” and a title registration deed, which will include comprehensive information such as property data, descriptions, condition, related rights and obligations, and all recorded real estate transactions. These records will be linked to geospatial data through precise surveying and geographic coordinates, forming the legal foundation for registering ownership and real estate rights. This contributes to the sustainability of the sector and strengthens its key enablers.
