The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, carried out (9) joint inspection tours during September. These tours included visits to (153) real estate establishments across the Riyadh Region, Eastern Region, and Makkah Region, aiming to ensure compliance with real estate legislation—particularly the Real Estate Brokerage Law—as well as regulations under the jurisdiction of the participating government entities related to Saudization and establishment licensing.
REGA stated that field inspections are one of its key tools for regulating the real estate market. During the same period, REGA’s inspection teams conducted (14,430) field inspection operations, resulting in the detection of (14,538) violations related to real estate advertisements displayed in public areas. Additionally, REGA received (511) real estate reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and processed. The number of electronic scanning operations also exceeded (14,609), reflecting REGA’s ongoing efforts in electronic monitoring to ensure that digital advertisements and real estate brokerage activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
REGA called on all brokers and real estate service providers to adhere to the provisions of real estate laws and to review the list of violations in order to avoid penalties. These may include warnings, suspension or revocation of licenses, and financial penalties. The implementing regulations clearly outline the classification of violations and the associated penalties. REGA also encouraged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or cases of real estate fraud. Reports can be submitted through the official REGA platform or by calling the real estate inquiry hotline at (199011).
