The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced the inclusion of eight districts in Makkah under the fifth phase of the Real Estate Registry initiative. This phase encompasses (1,336) real estate plots and will commence on 18 Dhul Qi’dah 1445 Hijri, corresponding to 26 May 2024, with registration continuing until the end of 25 Safar 1446 Hijri, corresponding to 29 August 2024.
The districts included in this phase are: part of Al-Safwah District, part of Dar Al-Salam District, part of Al-Hijrah District, Dakher Project including Al-Jummayzah District and Rai Dakher District, Masar Makkah Project Section One including Al-Nuzhah District and Al-Raseefah District, and Jabal Omar Project including Jurham North District. REGA confirmed that the selection of these districts was based on approved criteria, and that other regions and districts benefiting from the Real Estate Registry will be announced successively according to their readiness.
REGA clarified that the initial registration of properties in these districts will be available through the electronic Real Estate Registry Platform at https://rer.sa/rer-services-ar/ or through dedicated service centers. It emphasized that the registration of title deeds requires an updated electronic deed issued by the Ministry of Justice, containing complete data and fulfilling all ownership conditions.
REGA called on property owners in the announced districts to verify their property title deeds and ensure that all required conditions are met in preparation for the registration process. For further inquiries about procedures and necessary steps, property owners may contact the customer service center at (199002).
It is worth noting that the National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry RER) is responsible for establishing and managing the Real Estate Registry across the Kingdom. This is carried out using advanced technologies, geospatial data, and an integrated digital platform designed to enhance transparency and trust in real estate services and information.
Starting from the designated registration date, each registered real estate unit will be assigned a unique “property number” and issued a new title registration deed.
This deed will include detailed property data, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and a record of all real estate transactions linked to it. All information will be connected to geospatial data through land surveying and geographical coordinates, forming the legal foundation for the registration of ownership and real estate rights. This initiative supports sustainability and reinforces the real estate sector and its primary enablers.
